Where to begin. This neglected, foreclosed property has long been a huge part of the entrance to downtown Wolfeboro. A low cost retail group had the offer into the Bank holding the mortgage but it had contingencies. After putting in an offer with none, the bank sold it to the current owner. The renovation was a 2 year process of planning, design and construction, with the new Inn opening in August of 2018. In 2021, Travel + Leisure Magazine named Pickering House the # 1 Resort Hotel in New England.
