Where
Wolfeboro, New Hampshire
Built in 1813 as a home to prominent business man Daniel Pickering, this building had gone through years of change - from home, to boarding house to a chopped up building of 28 rooms and 6 apartments (in terrible disrepair). While keeping as much original and re purposing a tremendous amount of the original detail this building is positioned for it's next chapter of life. All new structural support, soundproofing, insulation, commercial sprinkler system, restored fireplaces in the common areas, a re- built porch (but using the original hand carved brackets and 10 breathtaking "en suite" guest rooms.
The Pickering House Inn opened in August of 2018. In 2021, it was named by Travel + Leisure Magazine the # 1 Resort Hotel in New England.
